What's New in Windows 10

Introduction

This half-day training will allow you to use easier end-users functionalities on Windows 10. Attendees will be able to take the training in face-to-face or in tutored E-Learning. (1h15 getting started with the tool with a certified trainer)
Then attendees will continue, at their own pace, their E-Learning training courses, while asking question to a trainer at their disposal.
In a second time, they will follow alone, at their own pace, the chosen training, while practising with exercises.

Audience

This training course is intended for people who needs to be familiar with the new features offered by the Windows 10 operating system, with the end-users point of view.

Prerequisites

Before attending this course, participants should have already worked with previous versions of Windows, to apprehend better the system.

This course doesn't prepare to a specific certification, but can help to obtain the Microsoft certification 70-698, Installing & configuring Windows 10, if you want to go further in the topic.

Module 1: Using the Start Menu

  • Opening applications and programs
  • Accessing to recent documents
  • Customizing the Start Menu

Module 2: Searching for applications

  • Searching for applications on the computer
  • Getting applications through the Store (depending on the available equipment in the training room)

Module 3: Using Cortana

  • What is Cortana?
  • Setting a meeting
  • Sending an email directly from Cortana
  • Searching for files
  • Starting a web search from Cortana

Module 4: Using Microsoft Edge

  • Previewing open pages
  • Taking notes, writing and underlining directly on web pages
  • Saving your favorite articles through a “reading list”

Module 5: Editing documents

  • Underlining items and drawing on whatever type of interface (Microsoft Edge, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) in which you could only write, in previous versions

Module 6: Logging on Windows 10

  • Setting the two identifications modes available with Windows 10 (depending on the available equipment in the training room)

Module 7: Working with “multimedia”

  • Grouping all your photos and videos coming from several devices
  • Sharing photos and videos
